Roads · family · movement · continuity

Know the road. Keep the signal. Carry the people.

Team Stone is how we organize travel, communications, outdoor life, family movement, and the ordinary failures that turn into emergencies only when nobody planned for them.

Travel, weather, movement, continuity

The system is visible in the places we actually go.

Travel knowledge should compound

We go back often enough to stop starting over.

The travel library collects the places we return to, the roads between them, seasonal differences, family stops, adult dates, business-casual options, swimming, radio, and the discoveries that made the second trip better than the first.

Fort Bragg and Westport, Bremerton and Kitsap, Walnut Creek and Winters, Lassen, and the Chico-to-Bremerton corridor already have prepared guide shelves.

Winter

Lassen is where the system gets honest.

Snow camping and backcountry skiing combine weather, daylight, shelter, clothing, route, power, food, water, navigation, communication, and the judgment to retreat before the trip stops being fun.

Orange gear earns its place here.

A family in motion

Swimming, bikes, skates, running, soccer, baseball, dance, sailing, and radio.

The boys swim competitively with Chico AquaJets, bike for transportation, skate excitedly, run for sport and skill development, play competitive soccer and baseball, participate in Virtues and Rosas de María, and use GMRS. Rhys also participates in Scouts, drama, and small-boat sailing.

Whenever practical, we use Chico’s Class IV bike lanes for family commuting.

The goal is not to carry everything. It is to know what the trip, person, route, and failure actually require.
