Power beyond a weekend

The generator is a Honda EU2200i inverter generator: 120 V, 2,200 W maximum / 1,800 W rated, 18.3 A maximum / 15 A rated, with a 0.95-gallon fuel tank. Honda lists approximately 3.2 hours at rated load and 8.1 hours at one-quarter load, 48–57 dB(A) depending on load, and a dry weight of 47.4 lb. It supports devices, radios, batteries, lighting, charging, and EUC systems during extended outages or base operations. Fuel, ventilation, carbon-monoxide risk, noise, maintenance, and load planning remain part of the plan, not footnotes.

Children need roles they can perform.

The boys can use GMRS, report location and conditions, follow rendezvous instructions, manage assigned gear, communicate clearly, and recognize when the plan has changed. The purpose is confidence and competence, not adult anxiety repackaged as a family drill.
