Interviews, television frames, radio segments, forums and public-event video are evidence with different provenance. The archive keeps them labeled rather than flattening every source into the same kind of proof.
A photograph can prove somebody was there. It cannot explain what happened unless the caption does its job.

October 2013 coverage of the Alternative Custody proposal during Chico's fiscal crisis: people serving sentences for nonviolent, nonserious and nonsexual offenses could perform supervised work at Caper Acres and Lower Bidwell Park while the city struggled to staff and maintain public space. The same clip preserves the separate Bidwell Park alcohol-policy debate.
This is the school-site track-meet archive, kept separate from the Chico State basketball dispute. It belongs with the history of an inclusive school-site meet that Randall helped finance and sustain, later associated with Cami Anderson's name. That separation matters: two disability-sports stories, different institutions, different conflicts.
This video is the Special Olympics basketball archive. It belongs with the dispute over Chico State facilities, the tournament's cancellation/return history, and Randall's longer record as a coach, local program leader, fundraiser and finance person. It should not be mislabeled as the school-site track meet.
A personal rather than civic source: useful because the larger site includes athletics, outdoors, risk, preparation and a life outside meetings. The video remains cataloged as campaign and personal-history material.
KZFR's own archive identifies this as a Without A Roof program with Chico Housing Action Team. The discussion is unusually useful because it connects homelessness to housing supply, vacancy, municipal finance, gap financing and shared accountability. Stone argues that local and state funding structures can disincentivize housing and that both political will and financing are necessary to close the gap.

KZFR's archive identifies the broadcast and links directly to the City of Chico recording of Mayor Stone's State of the City address. This replaces the old "metadata pending" label.
On the first anniversary of the Camp Fire, KCRW interviewed Mayor Stone about what happened to Chico after tens of thousands evacuated from Paradise: a housing market already near capacity, population pressure, service demand and the civic strain of absorbing a disaster that did not burn structures inside Chico itself.

Randall identifies a previously supplied television clip as Action News coverage from the 2008 Democratic presidential primary. That clip belongs with the DACC/delegate/headquarters sequence. The later Action News Now studio interview already in this archive is not a substitute, and will not be relabeled simply because both happen to contain the words “Action News.”

Each external item is treated as a source, not a trophy. The site records what the linked piece actually contributes: a direct interview, a contemporaneous news account, a broadcast segment, a policy record, or personal archival footage. Where a title or date can be verified from the publisher, it is stated. Where metadata is incomplete, the page marks the date, event or participant information as pending.
That distinction matters because the same event can appear differently in a campaign video, a local newspaper, a radio interview and a later institutional record. The media archive is organized by subject and date, with source links where available.
