How to use this record
Each item below explains what the entity does, Randall Stone’s public role, a few demonstrated highlights, and where a reporter can continue checking. Public records and contemporaneous reporting take priority over résumé shorthand. Firsthand history is labeled when original records are still being attached.

Team USA, the 1993 Manchester season, the 1983–1993 triathlon circuit record, Phi Theta Kappa and the older athletic record were already present in Randall’s public vita years before elected office. The working athletic archive now separates four evidence classes: independently recovered period/official records; surviving photographs; retained physical awards and certificates awaiting digitization; and firsthand memories/open leads. Retained artifacts currently include the 1989 Chicago Sun-Times first-place award, 1992 Carlsbad first-place award, 1992 USTS Las Vegas division-winning plaque and 1993 Tri-Fed Triathlon All-American certificate. This keeps the biography readable while giving reporters and researchers a trail back to the underlying evidence rather than a trophy list masquerading as sourcing.

Community record
More than ten gallons of whole blood donated over several decades. Current accounting identifies 78 BloodSource/Vitalant donations plus at least four earlier donations beginning in high school.
The detailed donation ledger is retained privately as source material. The public site uses the cumulative total and avoids publishing a medical-style chronology of individual donation dates.

The family-abuse history, long-term parental estrangement, the separate support for the children’s grandparent relationship, father’s adversity quote, race-day adversity examples, and Randall’s circa-2013 Out of the Darkness emcee role are preserved as firsthand biography. The source doctrine must not imply that Randall participated in Out of the Darkness because of a suicide attempt of his own; his remarks concerned childhood abuse, instability, and their lasting effects. Public Chico records independently establish that an Out of the Darkness community walk was held locally by 2011 and was described as the seventh annual event in 2016; the exact Randall program/date remains to be attached.
Source posture · heritage & representation
Independently supported: Randall’s 2007 public biography described him as second-generation Mexican-American on his mother’s side. A 2019 Chico News & Review report states that his maternal grandparents came to the United States from Mexico and records his identification as Chico’s first Latino mayor.
Current firsthand/public-biography record: Randall identifies his 2012 election as Chico’s first Hispanic/Latino City Councilmember. He also recalls that Chico Enterprise-Record coverage and reader commentary challenged his ethnicity and that his estranged mother responded with a letter to the editor confirming the maternal Mexican-American ancestry. The exact Enterprise-Record clipping remains to be recovered.
Paternal genealogy: Deacon Gregory Stone of Cambridge, Massachusetts and his descendants are covered by a substantial published genealogy. Randall’s direct paternal descent is family-genealogy information; the generation-by-generation modern bridge is not yet attached and should not be represented as independently verified until it is.
