Swimming · drama · folklórico · Scouts · Virtues · sport
The boys participate in the activities. The adults help carry some of the institutions around them. Swimming, drama, folklórico, Scouts, sports and school organizations belong here as family and community life, not as a collection of trophies.
Participation is the easy part. Institutions survive because somebody also does the minutes, money, rides, uniforms and cleanup.
Family organizations

Both boys swim competitively. Krista serves as Board Secretary, supporting the governance and continuity behind the lanes, meets, coaches, volunteers, and families.
Rhys performs. Krista serves as Board Secretary for the Drama Boosters, helping the productions around the performers actually happen.
Both boys participate in Ballet Folklórico. Krista is Board Secretary and co-founder. I am Treasurer and co-founder. Sandy is President and Maria Trenda Executive Director; all four of us are co-founders.
Rhys participates in Scouts and has learned small-boat sailing, adding seamanship, weather, navigation, teamwork, and water safety to his practical skills.
Both boys participate. I occasionally teach the group about amateur radio and community service.
The boys swim, bike for transportation, skate excitedly, run for sport and skill development, and play competitive soccer and baseball.
Language and culture
They are fluent for their respective grade levels in English and Spanish. The language belongs in school, family, community, travel, and their participation in Rosas de María without being inflated into a claim of adult professional fluency.
Family communications
Both boys are active GMRS users within Team Stone. It gives them age-appropriate practice in clear speech, channel discipline, call signs, listening, and family coordination while remaining legally distinct from amateur radio.
